If you’re thinking of making the jump from an iPhone to the OnePlus One (or any Android smartphone), the team of OnePlus has written a very useful guide on how to transfer your information and data from the iPhone to the OnePlus One.
The guide, posted on the OnePlus Blog, is easy to follow and read with a plethora of images detailing the step-by-step guide. It is also quite a joy to read with the occasional humour thrown in along with some jabs at Apple, especially on the iMessage issue. In the guide, almost every piece of data that is transferable is detailed. This includes contact information, photos, music, and how to sync the user’s email.
OnePlus seems to have thought of everything, from suggesting apps as replacement for iOS exclusive apps, to a keyboard that is “better” than the one on iOS. OnePlus even went as far as to include a nano SIM tray adapter so that their customers would not have to get a new SIM card issued if they’re switching from the iPhone 5 or later.
OnePlus seems to be taking the fight to Apple on a quite personal level. To quote OnePlus, “we realise that some of you may be immigrating to our Cyanogen OS from a certain fruit-loving tech company.” We wonder if Apple will retaliate to this in any way.
