GoG has kicked off its fall sale ahead of everyone else and is literally giving away games. Mount & Blade is a Skyrim-like open world game that allows players to lead armies into battle, engage in political intrigue, and burn the occasional castle to the ground. Admittedly, it could use some better graphics and voice acting; but it does offer online multiplayer. With that being said, it is only free until tomorrow.
The site is also offering a continuous cycle of gaming bundles, which will change every 24 hours. It starts today with the Mount & Blade bundle (to complement the free game) and a Dungeons & Dragons bundle that includes some of the best RPGs ever made. For US$21.10, buyers get ten D&D based games that include the Baldur’s Gate series, Planescape: Torment, Icewind Dale, and Neverwinter Nights 2.
Flash deals that have become so popular are also available, although this time GoG is releasing them at a ridiculous rate of a new game every 40 minutes. These are mostly discounted at 80-percent off, which makes it tempting to just keep GoG.com open in the browser.
Finally, users that check back with the sale for seven days will receive The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings Enhanced Edition and The Gamers: Director’s Cut for free. This requires a GoG account and collecting the stamps, but it is completely worth it for one of the best adventure RPGs available for the modern audience.
The GoG Big Fall sale ends on 25th November, at which there will presumable be an encore sale with the best selling games coming back for one last hurrah.
