Is there anything Xiaomi won’t make? Not really, from mobile phones and accessories to health gadgets to smart home gadgets, and now, rumours have it that the Chinese company is looking into making an action camera.
The action cam will rival GoPro and the brand new HTC Re Camera, and as always, it will be a cheaper than what these brands are offering. The camera is reported to feature a 138-degree wide angle lens, and will be able to record 30fps 4K videos, and of course, 120fps 1080p ones too. There will also be a microSD slot on board too that supports up to 128GB memory cards.
Initial rumours said that the action camera will cost a mere 99 Chinese Yuan (RM55!), but the source is now saying that it’ll cost 999 Chinese Yuan instead – that’s about RM550. Honestly, the price sounds a little too high compared to what Xiaomi usually offers, but it’s still a whole lot cheaper than GoPros.
