French website iGen.fr has reported that the Apple Watch would be priced from $349 (RM1170) to $5000 (RM16720); definitely not something one would buy on impulse.
According to the report, the Apple Watch Sport (which has an aluminium housing) would be priced at $349; which is Apple’s official starting price. The stainless steel variant would be priced at $500, while the most luxurious gold variant – with 18-karat gold or rose gold – would be priced anywhere between $4000-5000. 9to5Mac has pointed out that iGen.fr has previously reported accurately the launching of the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus before the official unveiling, giving credence to this report’s validity.
Just earlier today the launch window was revealed, which is slated to be right after Chinese New Year. If things are going according to Apple’s plan, we could be seeing the Apple Watch launching in April 2015. As for the accuracy of the report regarding the pricing of the Apple Watch, only time will tell.
