The PlayStation 4 Dragon Quest Metal Slime Edition, previously announced for the Japan market, will make its way to our shores on 11th December, just in time for an early Christmas present.
Other than having a silver finish, the Metal Slime Edition PlayStation 4 and DualShock have drawings of the metal slime on them. This limited edition console is realised with the collaboration between Sony and Square Enix, the developer of the game.
The metal slime shown in the pictures above is bundled along with the Metal Slime Edition PS4. The metal slime isn’t just for decoration purpose; it is actually a protective USB cover, a rather neat way to protect the USB ports.
Also bundled along with the Metal Slime Edition PS4 is the Japanese version of Dragon Quest Heroes: Yamiryuu to Sekaiju no Shiro download code. Players will be able to download the game one day before release on 26th February 2015; two months after the limited edition console is released. A custom PS4 theme and a Dragon Quest III Hero Costume (for the main characters to use) is also part of the download.
To top it off, the Metal Slime Edition PS4 also comes with 14-day PlayStation Plus subscription. This limited edition console bundle is priced at RM1799 and will be available on 11th December 2014.
