Maxis accepts any phones and offers a minimum trade-in value of RM200 but of course, if you have a newer smartphone like the iPhone 5s or Samsung Galaxy S5, you can get up to RM950 off the price of a Sony Xperia Z3 after the telco subsidy.
Maxis is offering the Sony Xperia Z3 with its Maxis One Plans and ties you up to a 24 months contract. If you sign up for the offer, you get to enjoy the usual telco subsidy that offers the latest flagship smartphone from Sony from as low as RM1,499, and enjoy up to RM950 extra discount from your old device.
Like the trade-in offer to buy a HTC One (M8), the device you pass to Maxis must be in working condition with no damage to the screen or casing, or any missing buttons. No charger or box is required for your old device.
