At long last, they are finally here. The iPhone 6 and 6 Plus are now available on pre-order via the Big 3 major telcos in Malaysia, and at the same time the official retail prices of each model of both devices have been unveiled.
The new iPhone 6 and 6 Plus will officially be available in stores on 6 November – that’s next Thursday – but you can now pre-order them online via Maxis and DiGi, while you can register your interest with Celcom. Maxis have appeared to have jumped the gun and prematurely release its postpaid plans and bundle pricing a little while back, before promptly removing them from its website. After much delay, DiGi’s postpaid bundles are also now available.
At the same time, there’ll be plenty more who are not keen on being tied to a postpaid contract, and would rather buy the device outright. Here are the official retail prices of the new iPhone 6 and 6 Plus in Malaysia, thanks to what is currently a very buggy and slow Maxis Online Store:
- iPhone 6, 16GB: RM2399
- iPhone 6, 64GB: RM2749
- iPhone 6, 128GB: RM3149
- iPhone 6 Plus, 16GB: RM2749
- iPhone 6 Plus, 64GB: RM3149
- iPhone 6 Plus, 128GB: RM3549
These prices correspond to an earlier leaked image of Maxis’ postpaid bundles for the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, which included the retail prices of the iPhone 6. Furthermore, it also follows Apple’s traditional pricing conventions for every new iPhone, which means that our initial prediction of its retail prices from last month was actually accurate.
