Remember Bitstrips, an app that took the internet by storm last year, allowing users to turn themselves (and their friends) into an avatar to create comic strips? The popularity of the app might have died down, but the company behind the app is still going strong and they have just launched a new app called Bitmoji, which allow users to use their avatar in Bitstrips and turn them into emoji and stickers.
Available for free on Google Play and Apple’s App Store, there are hundreds of sticks for you to pick from, and the stickers can be used anywhere including iMessage, WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger and more. For iOS devices, Bitmoji can be used as a third-party keyboard whereby you can easily access your personalized stickers with just a tap of a finger. Unfortunately though, instead of sending the emojis directly, it’ll be copied to your clipboard and you’ll need to paste it manually to your conversation. As for Android devices, there will be an onscreen shortcut so you can easily and quickly access your Bitmoji right from your messaging apps.
Whether you’re feeling excited, happy, sad, angry or even in a festive mood, Bitmoji has the right stickers for you. If you’re into Halloween, there are even Halloween-themed stickers for you to pick from and I’m pretty sure there will be Christmas ones coming up soon. Existing Bitstrips users can just sign into their account and the app will automatically use the avatar you’ve created on the stickers.
Intriguied? Bitmoji is available for free for Android and iOS devices in their respective app stores.
