The Sony QX30 lens-style camera that was first introduced back in IFA 2014 is finally available in Malaysia for a retail price of RM1,299. The QX30 is the latest addition to the company’s lineup of camera accessory for Android and iOS smartphones.
The Sony QX30 was first announced by the Japanese company last month in IFA 2014, together with the ILCE-QX1 that was opened for preorder just 2 weeks ago. Like the QX10 and QX100 that was introduced last year, the QX30 can connect to most Android smartphones and even those running on iOS, allowing you to experience all the quality of a high-end camera with your smartphone.
The QX30 features a 20.4MP Exmpr R CMOS sensor with 30x zoom from the Sony G Lens. Other features include Optical Steadyshot, and BIONZ X image processor. While the QX30 requires a smartphone to act as a viewfinder, it works just fine without one thanks to a built-in battery and microSD card slot that can store all pictures and videos taken.
The Sony QX30 retails at RM1,299, while the Sony ILCE-QX1 starts from RM1,399, and the existing QX10 and QX100 are available for RM699 and RM1,499 respectively.
