Gigabyte has refreshed two of its lightweight gaming laptops, the P35X and P34W, with NVIDIA’s latest-generation mobile GPUs, the GTX 900M series. The new Maxwell-based GPU lineup offers improvements in terms of performance as well as battery life. Gigabyte says that its P35X v3 (shown above) will meet the intense demands of hardcore gamers as the laptop is powered by the new Geforce GTX 980M that comes with 8GB of GDDR5 VRAM. The laptop also comes equipped with a 15.6” IPS display capable of resolutions up to 2880×1620 and coupled with its 20.6mm chassis, is looking to be ideal for gaming on-the-go. Courtesy of its quad-storage, users are capable of equipping up to two mSATA SSDs and two 2.5″ storage drives. Last but not least, the Mini DisplayPort on the laptop enables it to output to external displays at up to 4K resolution at 60Hz.
Meanwhile, Gigabyte has also updated another gaming laptop called the P34W (shown above) with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970M which also features 6GB GDDR5 VRAM. The 1.71kg 20.9mm 14-inch gaming laptop also comes with a new battery that Gigabyte claims to have 30% more battery life. The P35X v3 is currently slated for a release late in October whereas the P34W v3 will be released in early November. However, there is currently no word on a release date for the Malaysian market.
