Google Play Edition devices is a great way for those who love a device for its hardware but would like to have a pure Android vanilla experience. There are already a couple of Google Play Edition devices from various manufacturers like the Samsung Galaxy S4, HTC One (M7), even the pretty new HTC One (M8), and it looks like one more popular top-of-the-line Android smartphones out there will be joining in. Google may have accidentally posted a picture featuring a Google Edition Samsung Galaxy S5.
Following the announcement of Android 5.0 Lollipop, Nexus 6, Nexus 9 and Nexus Player, Google updated its android.com website to add in those new products.
If you scroll down on the Android website, under the “Customized by you, for you” section, you will see a whole bunch of devices including Android Wear smartwatches, Nexus-branded tablets and smartphones, and Google Play edition devices as well. The picture includes several Samsung Galaxy S5, so this could mean that the product could be on its way and as with other Nexus and Google Play Edition devices, it will run on the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop version.
If only Google would bring its Google Play Edition devices here, wouldn’t it be perfect?
