With Assassin’s Creed Unity just around the corner, Ubisoft has announced that Assassin’s Creed Rogue will be making it’s way to the PC platform in early 2015. The game, which launches on Xbox360 and PlayStation 3 in Novemeber, follows the story of Shay; an ex-assassin who joined the Templars to hunt down his former brethren.
The big deal with this announcement is the noticeable lack of news for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4; as it seems that neither is set to receive Assassin’s Creed Rogue. Ubisoft has so far been quiet on the matter, causing gamers to wonder if the title is not deemed worth porting to the current generation of consoles. It could be that the company believes that Assassin’s Creed Unity is more than enough for the current gen consoles to enjoy.
Ubisoft has been courting controversy lately with its decision to lower the resolution on AC: Unity to 900p on both the Xbox One and PlayStation 4. A move that has fans of the consoles blaming each other for the lowered specifications. Of course, there was also the earlier issue about the lack of playable female assassins in multiplayer mode; which has apparently died down now as the launch of the game nears.
PC gamers are the ones who stand to gain the most as they are now set to receive both of the next Assassin’s Creed titles, albeit a little later than the consoles.
