This is a bummer, Apple has just announced that the company will be launching the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus in 36 new countries this month and no, we are not part of the list. The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus will be launching in China, India and Monaco this Friday, followed by 33 more countries later this month, including Thailand, South Korea, and more.
If you’ve been waiting for the official arrival of the new iPhones then sorry, I guess Apple forgot about us again. Just like last year, the iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c only reached our shores in November so keep your fingers crossed that Apple will include Malaysia by November 2014.
The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus will be launched in these countries on the following dates:
- Friday, 17 October 2014: China, India and Monaco
- Thursday, 23 October 2014: Israel
- Friday, 24 October 2014: Czech Republic, French West Indies, Greenland, Malta, Poland, Reunion Island and South Africa
- Thursday, 30 October 2014: Bahrain and Kuwait
- Friday, 31 October 2014: Albania, Bosnia, Croatia, Estonia, Greece, Guam, Hungary, Iceland, Kosovo, Latvia, Lithuania, Macau, Macedonia, Mexico, Moldova, Montenegro, Serbia, South Korea, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Ukraine and Thailand
I can’ help but feel disappointed. After stalking Apple’s website for weeks and following Maxis’ #nextbigthing closely, it looks like we Malaysians will have to wait again.
