The League of Legends World Championship isn’t happening until later this month, but that isn’t stopping the team from having some other events. LoL will be collaborating with Health Department of Kuala Lumpur and Kuala Lumpur City Hall to clean up sections of the city in an effort to combat the rising number of dengue cases. It’s scheduled to take place 11 October (this Saturday) and Garena is even providing lunch once everything is over.
Unfortunately, Garena has contacted us a little late for the advanced registration to receive extra LoL goodies like t-shirts and those slots have already been taken up. However, this is not about obtaining loot and more about giving back to the community while proving that gamers are not anti-social shut-ins.
The gotong-royong will take place in Bandar Tun Razak in KL, and those who are unable to find the place on their own can assemble at the Bandar Tun Razak LRT station before 8.30am. Garena staff is be directing people in the right direction from there. For more information about the event look here.
