Later this month, Microsoft is expected to reveal the next iteration of the Windows operating system codenamed Threshold which also known as Windows 9 and Windows TH. So far, quite a number of its features have been leaked in the open including the new Start Menu, Notifications Centre and many more.
Not this one though: it turns out that existing Windows 8 users will be able to upgrade to the new Windows 9 / Threshold for free.
This fact was confirmed by the President of Microsoft Indonesia, Andreas Diantoro in a report by Indonesian online media, detikinet. Andreas added that all users need to do is just download it as an update on their Windows 8 devices once Windows 9 / Threshold is made available to public.
That being said, the official name for the operating system is still not yet known at the moment. Well, it is rather obvious to say that Microsoft has plenty of things to show and answer at the event on 30 September which unfortunately will not be shown live on the web unlike many of the company’s media session prior to this.
