Does megapixel counts when it comes to cameras? Apple doesn’t seem to think so and they may be right. Photographer and the developer of Camera+ app, Lisa Bettany, has taken all eight generations of the Apple iPhone and put them to a camera test. See how the camera has evolved throughout the years and even though Apple has retained the same 8MP, they have made huge improvements in the software side.
The comparison is done between the first generation iPhone, iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4s, iPhone 5, iPhone 5s and iPhone 6. The photographer has even got image samples taken with different modes like macro shots, low light, back-lit and more, so hit the source link for the full feature. It’s a pity she didn’t use the iPhone 6 Plus in her comparison, the OIS on board would definitely be able to churn out better low light pictures.
As a bonus, here’s a speed test video showing the speed of all the iPhones ever made by EverythingApplePro.
