Who could say no to free cloud storage right? Microsoft recently announced that they are giving away free extra storage on OneDrive for iPhone users, doubling the free storage from 15GB to a total of 30GB.
The cloud storage market is getting more and more competitive. Since our cloud storage price comparison, many popular cloud storage players have lowered their price including Dropbox and even Apple’s iCloud. In order to stay competitive, Microsoft is now offering iOS 8 users a chance to snag up an extra 15GB of free storage. But there’s a catch, you must enable auto upload from your camera roll (now known as Recently Added).
Available for all new as well as existing OneDrive users, just download the OneDrive app to your iPhone, sign in, and enable auto upload. Microsoft will automatically add in an extra 15GB of free storage, but you better hurry because you must enable auto upload before the end of September 2014. Don’t have an iPhone? No problem, this promotion also applies to anyone who turn on auto upload on their Windows Phone, Android and Windows.
This has just made OneDrive a whole lot better for all users. Microsoft recently also increased the file size transfer on its OneDrive cloud storage, allowing users to transfer a full 10GB at one go so you know where to store all your new timelapse and 240fps slow-mo videos on your iOS 8.
