Ever wish you can directly purchase products that are being tweeted by your favourite brands or artists? Well, your wish has now come true as Twitter has announced that it is now testing an integrated commerce system right within the popular social media network.
Currently made available for a select number of artists, brands and non-profit organizations, the system is just like any other e-commerce out there: there’s a “Buy” button which users are able to use to purchase the item featured on that particular tweet. Once clicked, users will then receive additional information regarding the product and will also be prompted for payment as well as shipping details.
These information will be then encrypted and stored securely, so that users don’t have to re-enter the same details during their subsequent in-tweet purchases. That being said, users still have the option to remove those information for their account.

However, this test is limited to small percentage of users in United States for the time being. Additionally, it is only done through Android and iOS Twitter apps for now which means other mobile platforms such as PC, Mac, Windows Phone, BlackBerry and others will have to wait.
We reckoned that for shopaholics out there that love to linger around Twitter, this might be a match in heaven. Shop responsibly, ok?
