Lenovo has just unveiled its first Intel powered tablet — Tab S8 at the ongoing IFA 2014 in Berlin. As the name suggests, it will join in with other 8-inch tablet offerings while featuring a slender build and a supposedly 7 hours of battery life.
The Lenovo Tab S8 will be an affordable 8-inch tablet with a price tag of US$200 — that would only be RM630. It will be shipped with Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box along with 16GB internal storage and 2GB RAM. Lenovo went for a set of Dolby powered front facing stereo speakers which is highly preferable than that of a side or back facing set of speakers.
The 8-inch tablet sports a resolution of 1,920 x 1,200 on the One Glass Solution touch-panel technology build that omits the gaps between the display and the screen — allowing for a much more immersive viewing experience.
Nope, no hinges are found here (Yoga Tablets). Lenovo had opted for a sleeker design on the Tab S8 instead of the company’s usual designs for its previous tablets. On paper, it suggests that the device will be lighter than most tablets from other OEMs in the form factor.
4G LTE capabilities is present in the Tab S8 and is scheduled to hit stores in September. Stay tuned for more coverage on the IFA 2014 event.
