After eight months since the premium-grade gaming monitor by Asus had launched in CES 2014, the ROG Swift PG278Q has finally launched in Malaysia. Being the first gaming monitor under their Republic of Gamers family, it features a screen size of 27 inches with a thin, 6mm bezels.
Additionally, the monitor also supports NVIDIA’s G-Sync technology to help prevent screen tearing while increasing smoothness on its 2560 x 1440 resolution display. It also sports a 1ms response time, and an exclusive dedicated Turbo key that allows users to toggle between refresh rates of 60Hz, 120Hz, and even 144Hz.
Asus has also implemented its in-house OSD overlay called Asus GamePlus into the ROG Swift PG278Q that displays crosshairs and timer on the screen for gamers to utilize during practice. Amounted to the gaming monitor are two USB 3.0 jacks together with a DisplayPort 1.2.
