If you’ve been waiting for Google to give its presentation app, Google Slides, its very own mobile app like the Google Docs and Google Sheets apps that were announced a few months ago, here it is. Google recently released its Google Slides app for iOS and Android devices and is available for download immediately.
Like Google Docs and Sheets, Google Slides isn’t a new app and has been around for the longest time. However, instead of integrating these apps into one Google Drive app, Google has decided to give each of them their standalone mobile app so you can easily access them on any device, any time. Slides app still offers the same functionality as the web version such as the ability to create and edit presentations, collaborate with others, and work with Microsoft PowerPoint files.
If you’re using Google Docs and Sheets on your mobile device, do give these apps an update because Google also released some new features for them. All Docs, Sheets and Slides now come with offline editing built right in. Just make the files you want to edit available offline and any changes you make offline will automatically be synced when you reconnect, just like the web version.
