Excited about the new Lightning cable from Apple that will feature a reversible USB port, and can’t wait to get your hands on one during the iPhone 6 launch? Well, it looks like you might be in for a disappointment because according to reports, Apple might not have the cable ready in time to ship with the next generation iPhone.
According to a third-party Apple retailer, Moca.co, the Cupertino company has yet to place orders for the reversible cable from its manufacturing partner. This means that not only will the cable miss the iPhone 6 launch, which is rumored to be happening on 9 September 2014, it might not even hit the market this year. As reported by Moca.co, samples have been sent to Apple for approval but no action has been made since. Once confirmed, it could take a couple of months before the cables hit the shelves.
Speaking of reversible USB cable, Moca.co recently also shared a video showing off a new 2A power adapter for the iPhone 6. The video also demonstrates how the reversible USB cable can be plugged in either way.
Finally as usual, take all leaks with a pinch of salt, especially since Moca.co is not known to leak Apple things. Anyhow, only about 2 weeks more to go before we know for sure, are you excited about September yet?
