After more than a month since the flight went down in Ukraine, the bodies of 20 Malaysian victims of Malaysia Airlines flight MH17 have finally arrived in Kuala Lumpur International Airport via a specially chartered plane from Amsterdam this morning. Consisting of 11 passengers and nine crew members, they are the first of 43 Malaysians that were perished in the incident which took all 298 lives on board.
Draped in Jalur Gemilang, the victim’s caskets and urns were unloaded and carried by Malaysian Armed Forces personnel into the waiting white funeral hearses as part of the full military honours for the victims. A full minute of silence were then observed throughout the country before the funeral hearses made their way to victims’ eventual final resting place.
Our heartfelt condolences and prayers to all the families, relatives, and friends of those that have lost their live in the MH17 incident.
