September will be a busy month indeed, on top of an Apple event that is said to be happening on 9 September 2014, and Samsung’s Unpacked Episode 2 that will be happening on 3 September 2014, it looks like Huawei will have something exciting for its fans too. The Chinese company recently sent out an invitation for an event in IFA 2014 whereby the company will launch its next flagship smartphone that could feature a fingerprint scanner.
The invitation looks like your average invitation card with some simple text, the date and venue, but it featured fingerprints on the envelope and on the invitation card itself, possibly hinting at a fingerprint scanner. If you follow the QR code printed on the, it will redirect you to a Chinese website that gives you further information about the time, as well as a Mate 7 – no prize for guessing what the company will announce.
The phone is rumored to be launched in 2 variants – the higher end one will feature a 6” QHD display while the other will have a regular Full HD display. To be powered by the company’s very own Kirin 920 octa-core processor with 2GB of RAM, the Ascend Mate 7 is said to feature a 13MP rear camera, 5MP front shooter, and will run on Huawei’s Emotion UI 3.0 based on Android 4.4.
Are you excited to see what the Chinese company has got to offer?
