Motorola had just made its announcement of its own event to launch its new smartphones and the highly-anticipated Moto 360. Instead of joining IFA 2014 in Berlin, Motorola will be holding its launch event in Chicago city, US right after the launch day of the Galaxy Note 4 by Samsung.

In a quirky manner, Motorola has presented its invitation in a form of a .gif file. The GIF may be rolling fast but if you look closely, there are four illustrations including a smartphone labeled “X”, another smartphone labeled “G”, a timepiece, and a rather peculiar bluetooth earpiece.
At an instance, it is obvious that Motorola is planning to unveil two of its latest smartphones — namely, the Moto X+1 and the Moto G2. Both the rumoured devices have been teasing their specs through leaked informations found on the web for quite a while now.
Being the successor to the Moto X, the Moto X+1 has been said to be featuring a 5.2-inch 1080p display, a quad-core Snapdragon 800 Processor, 2GB of RAM with 32GB internal storage, and a 12-megapixel camera. Given the additional screen size as compared to the previous 4.7-inch, it would likely be a bigger device and also possibly a bigger battery.
On the other hand, the illustration of the smartphone labeled “G” points us towards the next iteration of the Moto G by Motorola — the Moto G2. The Moto G has been one of the best affordable smartphone you can get in the market. Motorola had even built on the success with a refreshed version that has LTE capabilities and an SD card expansion. The Moto G2 would be seeing a bump in screen size to 5 inches, an 8-megapixel main camera and 2-megapixel selfie module. However, leak informations tell us that it would retain the Snapdragon 400 Cortex-A7 processor found in the Moto G.
Since the initial announcement of the Moto 360, Motorola has been holding back the launch of its circular timepiece. While the other Android Wear smartwatches have already been strapped on consumers’ wrist, the company was finalizing build materials and hardware compatibility of the device. It seems as though we might not have to wait any longer as it is now being teased in the invitation by Motorola. We can also expect the smartwatch to be shipped with included wireless charging cradle that was leaked a week ago.
Motorola’s launch event will be happening simultaneously with Microsoft’s launch event at IFA 2014 in Berlin which also set on the 4th of September. Perhaps the invitation taglines — “Choose To Discover”, “Choose To Have Fun”, “Choose A New Experience”, and “Choose To Join Us” are messages to draw the press from IFA 2014 in Berlin.
