Taiwanese memory module manufacturing company Apotop recently launched a new peripheral designed for those who are always on the go. Called the Wi-Copy, this product is a multi-functional wireless smart device that is designed to charge, transfer data, and even be a portable wireless router for mobile warriors out there. The Apotop Wi-Copy has a built-in 5200mAh battery that can last up to 14 hours of continuous usage. This device can be used as a power bank that supports fast charging for mobile devices. The Wi-Copy is small and portable with a thickness of just 25 millimetres and weighs only 175 grams – small enough to slip inside your backpack or luggage.
Featuring an SD card slot and a USB port on the front face of the device, users can perform a two-way file transfer between devices that negates the use of a computer. Users can perform this using the free app that supports both iOS and Android platforms that controls most of the features of the Wi-Copy. The app also lets users stream up to 5 movies simultaneously on multiple iOS devices.
There is also an RJ-45 Ethernet port at the back where users can connect to the Wi-Copy and use it as a router and wireless repeater to an existing router in order to extend the wireless range. This feature could prove to useful in certain situations, such as at a hotel that offers only wired internet. With the Wi-Copy, users can plug the Ethernet cable and turn it into a WiFi router for your devices. The Wi-Copy is now available in Malaysia, and will retail for RM 259. The Wi-Copy app can be downloaded on iTunes and the Google Play Store. To know more about the Wi-Copy, visit the official product page here.
