PC gamers now have less reason to look into getting a PlayStation 4. Hideo Kojima has confirmed that the next installment of the Metal Gear series will be coming to Steam. This includes both Ground Zeroes and The Phantom Pain. The original news broke when Konami accidentally made the announcement on its front page hours before their press conference at Gamescom 2014.
Ground Zeroes has been available for consoles back in March, although The Phantom Pain still has an unknown release date. Both games have already appeared on Steam, yet release information is attached to the pages. While past entries to the Metal Gear series have made their way to the PC platform, it was initially thought that the latest installment would be console exclusive.
Game developers have been paying more attention to the PC recently, as several other games are also set to make their debut on the platform. Namco has already announced that Tekken 7 will be arriving on PC as the primary platform, while Grand Theft Auto V is supposed to be appearing on Steam at some unknown time in the near future.
