In conjunction with the 4th anniversary of the MIUI ROM, Xiaomi is holding a huge sale across all of its markets. In Xiaomi’s home market in China, it is going to be a huge bash, with plenty of items on discount. Xiaomi will also be taking the opportunity to announce the sales of three of its latest products.
Just like the other international markets, Xiaomi is celebrating MIUI’s birthday in a big way – and it’s even larger than the other markets in terms of products on offer. Xiaomi offers plenty of accessories on sale in its Chinese market, and almost every one of these will see a price reduction on August 16. There will also be limited units of Xiaomi’s current batch of devices available, including the Redmi smartphones, Mi 3, Mi Pad, Mi TV 2 and the Mi WiFi Router.
In addition, the company is also opening reservations to purchase the new Mi 4 flagship smartphone as well as the Redmi Note 4G. And, as if that’s not enough, Xiaomi will also be introducing three new products to go on sale in China this Saturday: the Redmi 1S 4G, the Mi Band wearable, and the Mi WiFi Router Mini.
As we previously reported, the Redmi 1S 4G was just announced yesterday, where it will go on sale this Saturday for 699 Yuan (about RM363). The Mi Band is Xiaomi’s first wearable with a 30-day battery life, but is only currently compatible with the Mi 3 and Mi 4. The sleek Mi WiFi Router Mini is a dual-frequency AC router that will retail for only 129 Yuan (about RM67!).
There’s a whole lot more happening at Xiaomi’s 4th Anniversary sale, including a limited edition book, plenty of t-shirts, bundles, and if our translating skills serve us right, a chance to win red packets when you spend over 1000 Yuan on Xiaomi phones during the sale.
Over in Malaysia and Singapore, we’ll have to make do with just using rebate coupons.
