Microsoft has begun sending out press invites to its launch event at IFA 2014 in Berlin on 4th of September, featuring a “ready for more?” teaser which is likely to be the launch of two new Lumia smartphones.
Based on recent rumours, many are expecting two Lumia devices that will be launched at the event, namely the Lumia 830 and the Lumia 730. Both of these devices will not just be refreshed versions of the Lumia 820 and Lumia 720, and will instead offer unique features in the Lumia family.
An illustration of a rounded black Lumia 1020-looking camera module is found on the invite posted by Microsoft. This suggests that the launch event may unveil the Lumia 830, codenamed “Tesla” that appears to sport a similar camera module based on the leaked images found on the web. It is much rumoured that the Lumia 830 would feature a smaller PureView sensor, which is likely to be around the 21MP mark, the device also seems to be built with an aluminium body similar to the Lumia 925 according to the leaked images below.
On the other hand, the invitation tagline “Join us for more face time” could be hinting at the launch of the selfie-centric Lumia device by Microsoft – the Lumia 730. Codenamed “Superman”, the phone will sport a 5-megapixel front facing camera with a 4.7-inch screen size.
In addition, the latest Windows Phone firmware — Lumia Debian Red could also make its debut at the coming launch event and be featured in both of these Lumia devices.
