Despite the fact that Microsoft has decided to drop the support and development efforts for Nokia X, Asha and Series 40 devices, it seems like the company is still interested in the feature phone market. This is because the company earlier today has just announced a new product under that very category called Nokia 130.
Built with 1.8-inch colour display and runs on Series 30+ platform, the highlight of Nokia 130 according to Microsoft is the phone’s ability to playback music and video. The Nokia 130 is not equipped with any camera although it does come together with a flashlight on its back and the support for up to 32GB MicroSD card so that users can bring along songs or clips that they would like to enjoy through the phone.
Being a feature phone, Nokia 130 has an exceptionally long lasting battery life. In fact, Microsoft has claimed that the 1020mAh battery in the single SIM version of Nokia 130 has a standby time of up to 36 days while dual SIM variant is able to last up to 26 days.

In terms of music and video playback, the maximum battery life span is 46 hours and 16 hours respectively as well as 13 hours 2G talk time. To be available sometime this quarter, the new Nokia 130 will be released in selected markets for 19 Euros (RM 82). For further info, just head on to www.nokia.com.
