Two weeks ago, Microsoft Mobile has unveiled its third Windows Phone 8.1 device (after Nokia Lumia 630 and Lumia 930) in the form of Nokia Lumia 530. Since it is an obvious successor to last year’s Lumia 520 and Lumia 525, the Lumia 530 is pretty much designed to cater the entry-level segment of the market.
Ready or not, it seems like the Lumia 530 will be released in Malaysia soon as it has recently appeared on SIRIM’s database.
As you can see from the screenshot above, the device was registered at RM-1019 by Nokia Malaysia as well as its long time distributor Avaxx and Zitron. It is also clearly stated on the database that the Lumia 530 for Malaysia is the dual SIM variant.
Meanwhile, you might be wondering why we are so sure that the RM-1019 is a Nokia Lumia 530. Well, the model number is confirmed by this official support video (shown below) at around 48 seconds mark.

In terms of pricing, it is obvious that Microsoft Devices Malaysia has yet to spill out the details but in general, we believe that it will linger around the RM 400 price point since last month’s official announcement stated that the device will cost less than EUR 100 (RM 430).
