While the rest of the world is obsessed with Apple’s next generation iPhone, the iPhone 6, here’s something for the rest of you who prefer a larger screen. In the latest iPad Air leak, it looks like Apple will be giving some very minor changes to its full-sized iPad – redesigned speaker, relocated microphone and recessed volume controls.
The pictures were posted into a Weibo blog not too long ago and it shows that instead of two rows of dotted speaker holes as the current iPad Air, the next generation will feature only one row – could it be because it’s too thin to fit two rows? The pictures also show that the microphone will be relocated next to the camera lens (like on the latest iPhones and iPods), as well as recessed volume controls.
According to rumors, the iPad Air 2 will be launched from mid to late October, along with the next generation iPad mini as well as the rumored 5.5” iPhone phablet. Apart from the physical changes, it is believed that the next tablet from the Cupertino company will be powered by an A8 processor and will feature Touch ID sensor on the home button.
