It looks like the BBM messenger for Windows Phone you’ve always been waiting for is finally here. Microsoft recently announced that the messaging app from BlackBerry has exited beta mode and will be available for download in the Windows Phone store soon, if not right now.
BBM for Windows Phone is slightly different compared to the versions on iOS, Android and even on BlackBerry platforms. It has a neater interface that consists of three tabs – chats, feeds and contacts. Chats will contain all your chat messages be it individual or group chats. Feeds on the other hands will gather all the latest news regarding your BBM contacts like an update to their profile photo or a change in their status message. Finally, Contacts tab will gather all your BBM contacts within one screen.
What makes BBM for Windows Phone different from the others is how it allow users to pin a chat to the start menu – just hit the “pin” button and it’ll be added to the start screen. Apart from these, everything works just like they do on other platforms so check out the demo video below to get started.

The app has been released into the Windows Phone store but unfortunately at the time of writing, I do not have access to a Windows Phone device, so if you see it, download it, give it a try and let us know how you like it.
