Kingston, a company known for its memory products, announced its latest offering to the Kingston Value lineup of SSD Now V300 series, the V310. The company is only offering one variant of the SSD Now V310, which comes with a capacity of 960GB.
Unlike its predecessor, the V300, the SSD Now V310 uses a Phison 3108 controller instead of the one from LSI. With a sequential read and write speeds of up to 450MB/s, this drive is it still as fast as its predecessor despite having a larger memory capacity. The SSD is also shock-proof, making it durable and protect your data from impact.
Speaking of size, the physical form factor of this SSD measures at 2.5-inch with the thickness of only 7mm. This means that the V310 can be installed on most major laptops. Desktop users can opt for the all-in-one kit that bundles an adapter to fit in 9.5mm systems.
The SSD Now V310 is available as a stand-alone drive only or all-in-one kit that includes accessories such as the bracket and mounting screws, SATA cables, and software. The V310 comes standard with a three-year warranty and also a free technical support. No official pricing has been released by Kingston yet.
