As mentioned in our previous report, Zopo Mobile Malaysia will be officially introduced to local media members next week on Wednesday, 23 July. While it is true that Zopo Mobile has plenty of smartphones under its disposal but judging from Zopo Mobile Malaysia’s Facebook page, the company will be focusing on four models to kick-start its operations in Malaysia.
One of them is the Zopo ZP700 which is the most affordable model among the four devices. Featuring a 4.7-inch IPS display with a resolution of 960 x 540, it is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core Cortex-A7 CPU and 500MHz Mali400-MP2 GPU within a MediaTek MTK6582 chipset. Comes standard with Android 4.2.2, the device is also equipped with 1GB of RAM, 4GB internal storage, 5-megapixels rear camera, 2-megapixels front camera and 1750mAh battery.
Another smartphone that Zopo Mobile has brought over to Malaysia is the Zopo ZP780 which is equipped with the same MediaTek MTK6582 chipset as per ZP700. Same goes for the 1GB RAM and 4 GB internal storage but there are plenty of other components on ZP780 that are certainly much more superior than ZP700 such as a 5-inch IPS display (same resolution though), 8-megapixels rear camera, 5-megapixels front camera and 1800mAh battery.
Also available from Zopo Mobile Malaysia is the Zopo ZP1000 which comes with the 1.7GHz MediaTek MTK6592 octa-core chipset alongside 1GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage space. It also carries a 5-inch 720p TFT display, 14-megapixels rear camera, 5-megapixels front camera and 2100mAh battery.
Last but not least, the most premium device in the group is the Zopo ZP998. Still carrying the same octa-core chipset and photography capability as per ZP1000, the ZP998 is slightly more capable than ZP1000 since it has more RAM at 2GB and it also has a 5.5-inch full HD display. Additionally, the ZP998 is also equipped with a larger capacity battery at 2400mAh.
Before we forget, all of the devices above support dual SIM cards. Meanwhile, it seems that the company have already started to offer these device to Malaysian consumers since last month through Mudah even though the official launch will only take place next week. Over there, these devices are priced at RM 498, RM 598, RM 998, and RM 1098 respectively.
As a comparison, the ZP700 and ZP780 are priced at USD 159.99 (RM 510) in Zopo Mobile’s international online store. At the same time, the store also listed ZP1000 at USD 259.99 (RM 828) and ZP998 at USD 319.99 (RM 1019). All in all, the Malaysian pricing for these Zopo smartphones are not far different from Zopo’s international store with the exception of ZP1000 which is almost RM 200 more.
