It’s such a shame that LG mobile does not have much presence in Malaysia, the LG G3 that was announced 2 months ago is not even close to reaching our shores, and the South Korean company has already unveiled a mini version of its flagship smartphone. Called the LG G3 Beat for Asia and LG G3 s for Europe region, the device is a mid-range variant of the G3 that features similar premium features as its larger sibling.
First up, the G3 Beat features a 5” 720p display with 294ppi. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz, with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of expandable storage on board. The back is equipped with an 8MP shooter that features the same Laser Auto Focus found on the G3. Other specs include 1.3MP front shooter, 2,540mAh removable battery, 4G LTE-enabled, and will run on Android 4.4.2 KitKat out of the box. Available in Metallic Black, Silk White and Shine Gold, the device measures at 137.7 x 69.6 x 10.3mm and weighs a mere 134grams.
Some of the notable features on the G3 Beat include:
- Laser Auto Focus – using a laser beam, the G3 Beat can focus on its subject much faster than before, allowing you to quickly capture every special moments.
- Touch & Shoot – just clench your hand in the front of the screen to automatically begin a 3 second count down before the picture is snapped
- Smart Keyboard – the keyboard will learn how you type, reducing errors by up to 75%
