Google has teamed up with Udacity, the online educational organization to teach Android app development through a course called “Developing Android Apps: Android Fundamentals.” The course aims to get people up to speed on what it takes to be an Android app developer, or even as a mobile app developer in general. The course materials would mainly consist of guided videos, quizzes, and even a forum for participants to share ideas and problems.
Despite the fact that Udacity is a for-profit online educational organization, the “Developing Android Apps: Android Fundamentals” course is free for everyone to access. This way, it is much more approachable for anyone who is interested.
It is definitely encouraging that Google is taking efforts to promote the education of mobile software development with this approach.
