Xiaomi should be announcing its next flagship smartphone, called the Xiaomi Mi 4, on 22 July 2014, but it looks like some online retailer, www.xiaomiworld.com, has already listed out the device as “coming soon”. The listing shows not only the price of the device, which is a whopping USD$599.99, it also unveils the design and full specifications of the smartphone.
So what are the specs and should you be excited? According to the listing, the “Mi 4” packs some exciting stuffs under its 5.5” display with 2K resolution. Powered by the fastest 2.5GHz Snapdragon 805 quad-core processor, it has 3GB of RAM on board and 32GB of internal storage. It also features a 16MP OIS rear camera, 8MP front-facing camera and of course, LTE connectivity that is missing in current flagship. Other specs include embedded 3200mAh battery, single SIM support, and will come in a variety of colors.
Don’t be too happy yet though, this listing could very well be fake. The details in the description section contain specs that are very different from the Specifications section – it looks like a very shabby copy-paste work. Moreover, USD$599.99 (that’s almost RM2,000) is a huge jump from the current flagship that costs only RM769.
Well, only about five more days to go before the Mi 4 announcement date, are you excited to see what Xiaomi has got to offer?
