Back in February, Oppo officially entered our market by releasing its unique N1 smartphone alongside Find 5 Mini, R1 and Neo with much fanfare. The company then followed up with Find 7a and Find 7 as well as Joy and Yoyo in May.
But since then, things has been relatedly quiet for the company although it is true that Find 7 was only released into our market barely two weeks ago. Nevertheless, don’t worry Oppo fans; it seems the company is already working to release the next set of devices into Malaysia.
Judging from what we saw at SIRIM’s database (shown above), these new devices will be the Oppo N1 Mini and Oppo R1L. Registered as Oppo N5116, the N1 Mini has appeared on the database during the later part of June. As for R1L, it was freshly listed as Oppo R8006 yesterday.
Despite being the smaller version of N1, the N1 Mini still features the same rotary 13-megapixels camera as per its bigger brother. The device also carries a 5-inch 720p display, 1.6GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal storage. It is also built with a 2140mAh battery and LTE connectivity.
Meanwhile, the R1L is essentially the FDD-LTE version of R1S which was launched in China few months ago. Hence, the R1L also features the same spec as R1S: 5-inch 720p display, 1.6GHz Qualcomm Snadragon 400 quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 16GB internal storage, 13-megapixels rear camera, 5-megapixels front camera and 2410mAh battery.
In China, the N1 Mini is currently priced at CNY 2699 (RM 1386) while the R1S goes for CNY 2498 (RM 1284). So, how much do you think will these devices cost in Malaysia then? Well, we shall be able to find out the answer soon enough. At the meantime, we’ll keep you updated once we receive further confirmation from Oppo Malaysia.
