Motorola has revealed that the refreshed version of the Moto G, complete with LTE connectivity and microSD card slot, will be available this Friday. The price will also be pleasantly bearable to most, retailing at RM799 – just RM1 more expensive than the 16GB older variant.
Defying pricing conventions back when it was announced in November last year , the Moto G finally reached our shores earlier this year. The Moto G packs a Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor with 1GB of RAM, a 4.5-inch 720p display, 5MP rear camera and a 2070mAh battery. In Malaysia, it retailed for RM698 for the 8GB variant, and RM798 for the 16GB version.
The refreshed version will sport the same hardware as mentioned above, but will only have 8GB of storage – though that may not matter much given the inclusion of the microSD card slot, which supports up to 32GB cards. And of course, with support for Malaysia’s LTE network, this is one of the most affordable LTE-enabled smartphones in the country.
The Moto G LTE is expected to be available in the country on July 11 (this Friday), and Malay-language blog Amanz has noted that the RRP for the new smartphone is RM799. In addition, the Flip Cover and Cover Shell will also be available, retailing at RM129 and RM69 respectively.
