An interesting tip has arrived into our inbox just moments ago: apparently Acer is preparing to release two new devices in our market in the form of Acer Liquid E3 smartphone (shown above) and Iconia A1-713 tablet. The anonymous tip didn’t mention any actual release date but the sender sure did include several photos of both devices in action.
According to the spec sheet, Liquid E3 which was originally announced at Mobile World Congress last February features a 4.7-inch IPS 720p display, 1.2GHz quad-core processor and 16GB internal storage. Interestingly, our tipster claimed that the Malaysian unit will come with 2GB of RAM instead of just 1GB as per the MWC announcement.
In terms of photography, the Liquid E3 is built with a 13-megapixels autofocus rear camera alongside f/1.8 lens and a flash. There’s also a 2-megapixels front camera which comes together with a flash. Yes, you read that right: a front-facing camera with a flash. We think selfie lovers out there might be interested to check that camera in action…
Not to forget, the Liquid E3 is also built with 2000mAh battery and dual-SIM capability. Our tipster mentioned that the device is expected to be priced at under RM 800.
As for Iconia A1-713 (shown above), it is built with a 7-inch display and powered by a 1.3GHz quad core processor alongside 1GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage. The 8.9mm slim 3G tablet also features a 5-megapixels autofocus rear camera, HD front facing camera, and 3400mAh battery. This tablet apparently will be priced at under RM 500 according to our tipster.
Upon a quick check on SIRIM’s database, both Liquid E3 and Iconia A1-713 have indeed been listed over there alongside the equally new Liquid Z4. Well now, guess all we need to do is just to wait for the official announcement from Acer Malaysia which should take place soon enough.
