Electronic Arts is launching Origin Game Time, a programme to allow gamers to play games without buying them for a limited amount of time. The first game featured on the programme happens to be the highly rated first person shooter Titanfall. So for this weekend, gamers will be able to download and run the game through Origin for 48 hours.
The deal is similar to Steam’s Free to Play weekend. Just download the game and play it normally for the weekend. Of course, the DLC will not be available to free players; since the idea is to encourage people to buy it later. Fortunately, any progress you make while playing the game during Origin Game Time is saved and can be resumed if you decide to buy the game late. It is a decent deal for those who are still deciding whether Titanfall is worth picking up.
There should be other games appearing as part of Origin Game Time, although there is no set schedule. Combined with the Origin On The House programme, we might not actually have to pay for EA games to play them.
