The next installment in the Battlefield series, Battlefield Hardline, was announced at E3 last week, along with the immediate opening of the closed beta programme. Hardline takes the Battlefield series from the front lines, and onto the streets of civilian life. Trading the military for groups of police SWAT or heavily armed criminals.
While the closed beta programme has been running for just under two weeks, it has now been opened to everyone. At least everyone playing the game on PC. There is no explanation of why this is going on, but it is likely to help stress test the servers for the impending launch. Console players will still have to wait for approval as the beta test for the PlayStation 4 is still in the closed stage.
As part of this new beta, the developer -Visceral Games – has provided extra in-game rewards just for signing up. Although players will have to wait until the game releases in October to actually use any of it. There are also a couple of new beta challenges for players to complete to earn even more rewards.
Interested players should head over to the Battlefield Hardline Beta signup page and register for the test.
