Just when we thought that 6.3Inches would be the biggest a phablet could be before things got ridiculous, enter the new Samsung Galaxy W. Not to be confused with the older 2011 model (running out of letters?), the new Galaxy W features a 7-inch display with a design that allows for 1 handed operation and the specs of a mid range tablet at best. While it’s not the first voice enabled 7-inch device, this may be the first one that touts it as a phone first and tablet second.
The Galaxy W features a 720p display, 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 16GB of on board expandable storage, 8MP rear camera and 2MP front cam. Even the OS is on the older end of the scale with Android 4.3 rather than the more up to date Android 4.4. In Korea the Galaxy W is looking to sell at KRW499,400 which equates to about RM1,415 and that is quite a lot of money, all things considered. There is no news whether Samsung Malaysia is bringing this in but in all honesty, we wouldn’t be missing much if they didn’t.
