I started my photography journey in the wonderful world of Lomography. For the uninitiated, Lomography is a company which produces “Lomo” cameras which are often than not retro, fun cameras that rely on the unpredictability of film to give surprising results. Lomography have dabbled in instant film before but always as accessories for existing cameras to be able to use Instax Film. The Lomo Instant is Lomography’s first foray into the instant film market as a full camera and where else better to start, than on kickstarter.
The Lomo Instant features a series of interchangeable lenses as well as colour filters to give your instant photos something a little different. On top of that, the Instant also gives you the ability to control settings manually and with a cable release even shoot long exposure photos. The Lomo Instant uses the normal Instax Mini film that is readily available and looks like an attractive alternative to the current offerings by Fujifilm.
At the time of writing, Lomography have already blasted past their initial goal and are still going strong. Cameras are set for a November 2014 ship date and if you want in on this analog instant photography madness, head over to the Kickstarter Project page here!
