In a move true to the rumours and leaks we have seen, HTC has just announced the One Mini 2, which is a successor to the One Mini. Weighing in at 4.5inches and a 720p display (326ppi) the One Mini 2 is slightly larger than its predecessor, adding about a millimetre to its body. The One Mini 2 follows the One M8’s sexy curved rear design and looks to fit well in hand, taking cues from the success of its bigger brother.
Under the hood, the HTC One Mini 2 runs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 chipset with a 1.2GHz quad-core cortex A7 CPU, 1GB of RAM and an Adreno 305 GPU. The One Mini 2 comes with a 16GB storage and an additional 128GB potential micro SD storage. As mentioned, the One Mini seems to have ditched the Ultrapixel in favour of a regular 13MP BSI sensor camera with an f2.2 lens which will definitely make this a popular choice with naysayers of the Ultrapixel. The One Mini 2 retains however, the 5MP front sensor for better control over your selfies.
At this moment in time there is not much news out about the One Mini 2 but it looks to be arriving in EMEA as well as North Asia in June with Gunmetal Gray, Glacial Silver and Amber Gold as colour options.
