Kickstarter is a place for some of the most innovative games to get funding, and yet another title is looking to continue the tradition. SUPERHOT, a time manipulating first person shooter and has been described as a mixed between the tactical aspect of chess with the excitement of Counter Strike.
SUPERHOT was made during the 7 Day FPS Game challenge and changed the way some people thought about shooting games. It took the novel approach of freezing time unless the player was moving; providing a unique view of the battlefield and the opportunity to dodge bullets in a way that no other game allows. Max Payne wished it had bullet time this interesting.
The Kickstarter is still close to it’s goal of US$100,000, despite only going live yesterday. It should be noted that the US$10,000 pledge includes a top secret, hand crafted, mystery device from the SUPERHOT team. Gamers who want to try the original build of SUPERHOT can visit the prototype page.
