Last month, Google put the Glass on sale in the US for one day. It looks like that experiment was extremely successful as Google has announced that it will now open the sale of Google Glass to anyone in the US, as long as stocks last. Although the US$1,500 price tag is still attached to the device.
This announcement does not mean the end of the Explorer Program, but instead signals that Google is moving on to the next phase of deploying their controversial wearable. The company has also released a video thanking the first wave of Explorers for their help in developing the Glass.

With any luck, the announcement of a wider Explorer Program will signal a future price reduction of the device. Although most of us would be happy with just the opportunity to buy the Google Glass outside of America.
