Battlefield 4 launched to a large amount of fanfare and an even large amount of complaints about the game being broken. DICE is now recruiting players for what it calls the Community Test Environment; which aims to create a player driven playtest team to make collecting feedback a simpler and quicker process.
A statement on the Battlefield Blog explains that the CTE is aiming to ” test new ideas and solutions to current issues before we roll them out to all Battlefield players”. The first goal of the program is to correct issues with the “Netcode”; a problem that has been causing players massive amount of anguish.
The CTE is currently only available to Battlefield 4 Premium users on the PC. There are plans to expand the program in the future; although DICE has said that it hopes the CTE will be able to benefit all platforms. Anyone interested in participating can take a look at the Battlefield Blog.
