The Malaysian creative scene is bursting at the seams with incredible talent from all walks of life and across many disciplines. From performers of the thespian and musical variety, artisans from their particular discipline or even just anyone with a talent plying their trade. In KL we have the annual Urbanscapes which brings a whole bunch together and along with the hipsters coming out of the woodwork, it’s actually a great time. Festivals cost a heck of a lot to put on and thats why the upcoming TAPAUfest 2014 have turned to PitchIN and YOU for your support!
TAPAUfest aims to be Malaysia’s first crowdfunded festival, looking to raise RM85,000 until 27th May for the festival in Penang on the 14th of June. On top of this, TAPAUfest will also mark the launch of TAPAUtv, a free indie online tv that aims to capture and represent the Malaysia creative youth community.
From the TAPAUfest Pledge Page:
With your support, we’ll be able to showcase our local talents not only to Malaysians but also guests from all over the world. You’ll be experiencing the true and young Malaysia in one place-one festival where you’ll learn about the culture, the diversity of creativity within the younger generation who are striving for greatness day in day out. By supporting TAPAUfest, you are supporting the local creative youth of Malaysia.
